Add a TestPod machine to your account
Two steps. You sign in on the machine, then confirm it from your inbox.
Your email is the key
The machine is claimed with the address you registered at hiteknova.com — nothing else to look up.
You confirm from your inbox
Nobody can attach a machine to your account without opening your email.
The link lasts 30 minutes
If it expires, log in on the machine again and a fresh email arrives.
What it looks like
The whole flow, start to finish.
STEP 1On the TestPod, type your registered email and click Login.
SENDINGAn email is on the way to your inbox.
STEP 2Open your inbox and click Add to my account in our email.
DONEYour machine is now linked to your Hitek Nova account.
Step by step
-
Install TestPod and run it.
Use the computer where you want the machine registered.
-
Type your registered email in the Account field.
It must be the address you registered at hiteknova.com. The password field has to contain something — TestPod will not submit it blank — but the value is not checked at this step, so anything will do, for example 1234.
-
Click Login, then open your inbox.
TestPod confirms an email has been sent. Look for “Add this TestPod machine to your Hitek Nova account?”. Check your spam folder if it has not arrived within a minute.
-
Click Add to my account in that email.
A confirmation page tells you the machine has been added. Go back to TestPod, log in with your machine user credentials, and the machine appears in your dashboard at testpod.space on its next sync.
Troubleshooting
- macOS won’t let me open TestPod — it says the app is damaged.
- The exact message is “TestPod.app is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Bin.” Nothing is wrong with the app — macOS flags anything downloaded from the internet and blocks it before you can reach the login screen.
Click Cancel. Do not click Move to Bin — that deletes TestPod and you would have to download it again.
Make sure TestPod is in your Applications folder, then open Terminal (press ⌘ + Space, type Terminal, press Return), paste the line below and press Return:
It clears the download flag and opens TestPod. You only need to do this once, and it is the same fix shown on our Get Started page.
APP=$(find /Applications -maxdepth 1 -iname "*testpod*.app" -print -quit); if [ -n "$APP" ]; then xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "$APP" 2>/dev/null || true; open "$APP"; else echo "TestPod was not found in Applications. Please drag it there from the installer window first."; fi - I didn’t receive the email.
- Check your spam and promotions folders. If it is still missing after a few minutes, make sure the email you typed in TestPod matches the one you registered at hiteknova.com exactly, including capitalization, then try the login again.
- The link in the email says “Link expired”.
- The claim link is good for 30 minutes. Log in at the TestPod screen with your email again to get a fresh email.
- “No account found for this email.”
- You have not registered yet. Sign up first at hiteknova.com/registration, then come back to TestPod and try again.
- “This machine has already been added to an account.”
- A previous claim already linked this physical machine to a Hitek Nova customer. If that was not you, contact hello@hiteknova.com.
- Still stuck?
- Email hello@hiteknova.com with your machine SN (top-right of the TestPod window) and the email address you registered with.
