testPod tests iPhone and Android devices — including brands like Samsung, Google, and Xiaomi. The testing software itself runs on Mac, Windows, and Linux computers; the phones connect over USB.
A full functional test covers display and multi-touch, front and rear cameras, speaker/microphone audio loopback, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, light, proximity), battery health, charging and ports, buttons, and cellular signal when a SIM is present.
testPod also wipes locked Samsung devices that some competitors can't — see wiping locked Samsung devices.
