Support › Erase by hand
Erase an Apple Watch
TestPod cannot erase an Apple Watch by itself. You erase the watch in its own Settings, and the station checks that the erase really happened and records it.
- Connect the watch to the station
The station gives the watch a name of its own as a mark. The tile shows Erase the Apple Watch in its Settings.
- Erase the watch on the watch itself
Open Settings › General › Reset › Erase All Content and Settings and confirm.
- Wait for it to restart and reconnect
The station waits for the watch to restart and connect again, then checks its name. After a real erase the name is different, so the station passes the erase and records it.
What the tile says
| Tile | What to do |
|---|---|
| Erase the Apple Watch in its Settings | Do step 2 on the watch. |
| Erase failed 3 times - press Rescan to retry | The station stopped trying after three failed automatic erases. Press Rescan on the tile to try again. |
| Already erased - press Rescan to erase again | This device was just erased. Press Rescan on the tile only if you want to erase it again. |
Problems
- Is there a time limit?
- No. The station waits as long as you need.
- How do I cancel?
- Press Rescan on the tile. A cancelled erase is not recorded and prints no label.
