The honest part

“Heard testPod can be unstable?” Fair question. Here's what actually happened.

It happened. One of our volume customers ran testPod on a rack of very old PCs over a weak wifi network. The software struggled — running a busy testing bench on decade-old machines and a congested wireless connection will do that. They left for Phonecheck.

Phonecheck fixed the instability — by requiring them to buy all-new machines. Two months later they were back on testPod. Today they're one of our three largest accounts.

The lesson stuck, and we now own it: we publish exact minimum and recommended hardware specs upfront, so you know whether your machines qualify before you spend a dollar.

FAQ

Questions small shops actually ask

Does testPod meet eBay Refurbished and Back Market testing requirements?
Both programs require sellers to fully test devices and guarantee that previous-owner data is gone. Every device you run through testPod gets a public, QR-linked test report covering functional diagnostics, plus an ADISA AAL Level 3 certified erasure certificate (NIST SP 800-88 method) you can attach to listings and audits.
What exactly does $30/month include?
$30/month is the minimum fee per computer running testPod, and it covers your first 100 device checks each month. Past 100, you pay per device on a sliding scale starting at $0.30 that drops with volume — about $60 total at 200 devices. A device tested several times in one billing period is only charged once.
How does the free trial work?
14 days or 25 devices, whichever comes first. Signing up is three fields — email, password, company — and takes about two minutes. No credit card, no sales call, no setup fees, and nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends: you decide whether to upgrade.
Do I get certified data-erasure certificates?
Yes. testPod erasure is ADISA AAL Level 3 certified and follows NIST SP 800-88. Every wiped device gets its own erasure certificate page you can print or share — the document recyclers and ITAD auditors ask for.
What hardware do I need to run testPod?
Ordinary Mac or Windows machines you probably already own. We publish exact minimum and recommended specs — CPU, RAM, network, USB hubs, cables — so you know before you start. See the full hardware requirements.
Can testPod wipe locked Samsung devices?
Yes. testPod wipes locked Samsung devices that some competitors can't — it's the reason a recycler processing roughly 10,000 devices a month switched to us from Blancco.

Phonecheck said no. We're saying yes.
