testPod is diagnostics + certified data-erasure software for people who buy, refurbish, and resell used phones. It runs on Mac and Windows computers you already own, connects to phones over USB, and in one pass checks the device and securely wipes it.
Every device you run produces a shareable pass/fail test report (functional diagnostics — screen, cameras, battery, sensors, buttons, connectivity and more) and, when you erase, an ADISA AAL Level 3 certified erasure certificate using the NIST SP 800-88 method. Both are pages you can print, attach to a listing, or hand to an auditor.
testPod is used by about 50 refurbishers and recyclers today, processing roughly 21,000 devices a month. One quick clarification, because we get asked: testPod is a software company — we don't sell phones or connect you with phone wholesalers. We give you the tools to test and certify your own inventory.
